ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံအတြင္းမုိးသည္းထန္ျခင္းႏွင့္ေရႀကီးျခင္းေၾကာင့္ဒုကၡေရာက္ခဲ့ၾကရေသာျပည္သူမ်ားအတြက္ အကူအညီေပးရန္ ကုလသမဂၢ ကမၻာ့စားနပ္ရိကၡာအစီအစဥ္ United Nations World Food Program သို႔ အေမရိကန္ေဒၚလာ ၃သန္းေပးအပ္လႉဒါန္းရန္အတြက္အေမရိကန္ျပည္ေထာင္စုႏုိင္ငံတကာဖြံ႔ျဖဳိးေရးေအဂ်င္စီ၏ၿငိမ္းခ်မ္းေရးအတြက္စားနပ္ရိကၡာရုံး USAID Office of Food for Peace က ယေန႔သေဘာတူခြင့္ျပဳခဲ့ပါသည္။ ျပည္တြင္းမွဝယ္ယူမည့္ ဆန္ မက္ထရစ္တန္ ခ်ိန္ ၃,၃၀၀ ေက်ာ္၊ ပဲ ႏွင့္ဆားအပါအဝင္ေဒသတြင္းမွဝယ္ယူမည့္ဟင္းသီးဟင္းရြက္ဆီမ်ားကုိႏုိင္ငံတစ္ဝန္းတိုင္းေဒသႀကီးမ်ားႏွင့္ျပည္နယ္မ်ားရွိဒုကၡေရာက္ေနသည့္ျပည္သူမ်ားထံသုိ႔ကူညီေပးသြားမည္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။
သဘာဝေဘးေၾကာင့္ ဒုကၡေရာက္ၾကရသည့္ ျပည္သူ ၂၅၀,၀၀၀ ေက်ာ္၏ကယ္ဆယ္ေရးနွင့္ျပန္လည္ထူေထာင္ေရးအတြက္ အေမရိကန္ေဒၚလာ ၄.၅ သန္း ေက်ာ္ ကုိလက္ရွိေဆာင္ရြက္ေနသည့္အစီအစဥ္မ်ားအျပင္အစီအစဥ္အသစ္မ်ားမွတစ္ဆင့္ အေမရိကန္အစုိးရ က အကူအညီေပးသြားပါမည္။
ေရေဘးသင့္ျပည္သူမ်ားအတြက္ လုိအပ္ေနေသာ လူသားခ်င္းစာနာေထာက္ထားမႈဆုိင္ရာ လုိအပ္ခ်က္မ်ားကုိက်ယ္က်ယ္ ျပန္႔ျပန္႔ေဆာင္ရြက္ႏုိင္ရန္အတြက္ အားထုတ္မႈတစ္ရပ္အျဖစ္ USAID က ျမန္မာအစုိးရ၊ ကုလသမဂၢေအဂ်င္စီမ်ား၊ ျပည္တြင္းႏွင့္ႏုိင္ငံတကာမွ အစုိးရမဟုတ္ေသာအဖြဲ႕အစည္းမ်ားႏွင့္ပူးေပါင္း၍စားေရရိကၡာပံ့ပုိးေပးျခင္းျဖစ္ပါသည္။
“ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံမွာအခက္အခဲက်ေရာက္ေနတဲ့ကာလအတြင္းအေရးတႀကီးလုိအပ္ေနတဲ့အကူအညီေတြေပးႏုိင္ေအာင္ USAID အေနျဖင့္အျပည့္အဝအားထုတ္ေဆာင္ရြက္ေနပါတယ္။အမ်ားဆုံးလုိအပ္ေနသူမ်ားဆီအကူအညီေတြေသေသခ်ာခ်ာေရာက္ရွွိေရးနဲ႔အေျခေနေတြကုိတြက္ခ်က္ႏုိင္ဖုိ႔အတြက္ေဘးဒဏ္သင့္လူ႔အဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားနဲ႔အနီးကပ္ေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရွိပါတယ္။လာမယ့္သီတင္းပတ္မ်ားအတြင္းေဆာင္ရြက္ရေတာ့မယ့္ျပန္လည္ထူေထာင္ေရးလုပ္ငန္းေတြေဆာင္ရြက္ရာမွာအေကာင္းဆုံးအကူအညီေတြဘယ္လုိေပးလုိ႔ ရႏုိင္မလဲဆုိတာအတြက္အေမရိကန္သံရုံးကေနၿပီးမိတ္ဖက္အဖြဲ႔အစည္းေတြနဲ႔အနီးကပ္ဆက္လက္ပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္သြားမွာပါ” ဟု အေမရိကန္သံအမတ္ႀကီး ဒဲရက္မစ္ခ်ယ္ ကေျပာပါသည္။
USAID၏မိတ္ဖက္အဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားကလည္းျပန္လည္ထူေထာင္ေရးလုပ္ငန္းမ်ားအတြက္တုိက္ရုိက္အေထာက္အပံ့ေတြအျမန္ဆုံးပံ့ပုိး ေပး ႏုိင္ရန္သူတုိ႔ေဆာင္ရြက္ႏုိင္မည့္နည္းလမ္း မ်ားရွာေဖြေနပါၿပီ။ သည္အစီအစဥ္မ်ားထဲမွာေရႀကီးေျမၿပဳိမႈေဘးမ်ားၾကဳံေတြ႔ခဲ့ ၾကရသည့္စစ္ကုိင္း၊ မေကြး၊ ရခုိင္ႏွင့္ ခ်င္း အပါအဝင္ တျခားေဒသ မ်ားလည္းပါဝင္ပါသည္။ မိသားစုသုံးပစၥည္းမ်ား၊ တစ္ကုိယ္ေရႏွင့္ပတ္ဝန္းက်င္သန္႔ရွင္းေရးပစၥည္းမ်ား၊သန္႔ရွင္းေသာေသာက္သုံးေရႏွင့္မိလႅာစနစ္မ်ားရရွိေရးအတြက္ USAID ၏ မိတ္ဖက္အဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားက ျဖန္႔ေဝေပးေနပါသည္။
ကူညီကယ္ဆယ္ေရးလုပ္ငန္းမ်ားကုိကၽြႏု္ပ္တုိ႔ကျပည္တြင္းမိတ္ဖက္အစည္းမ်ားႏွင့္ပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္ေနခ်ိန္မွာႏုိင္ငံတစ္ဝန္းျပည္သူမ်ားကလည္းေရေဘးသင့္ျပည္သူမ်ားအတြက္အင္တုိက္အားတုိက္ဝုိင္းဝန္းလုပ္ေဆာင္မႈမ်ားကုိအသိအမွတ္ျပဳအပ္ပါသည္။ ဒုကၡေရာက္ၾကရ ေသာျပည္သူမ်ားအတြက္လည္း လြန္စြာမွစြာစိတ္မေကာင္းျဖစ္ရၿပီးသူတုိ႔အတြက္ဆုမြန္ေကာင္းေတာင္းေပးလ်က္ရွိပါသည္။

The United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Office of Food for Peace today approved a new contribution of $3 million to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) to assist people impacted by devastating floods and heavy rains in Myanmar. Over three thousand, three hundred metric tons of locally procured rice, pulses and salt, along with vegetable oil from the region, will assist people in affected states and regions throughout the country.
Through new and existing activities, the U.S. government will provide over $4.5 million in flood relief and recovery assistance to over 250,000 people impacted by the disaster.
USAID-supported food assistance is part of a broader effort to address the humanitarian needs of those affected by the floods in partnership with the Government of Myanmar, UN agencies, and local and international non-governmental organizations.
"USAID has been fully engaged in supporting emergency assistance efforts in Myanmar during this critical time," said U.S. Ambassador Derek Mitchell. "We are working closely with affected communities to assess the situation and to ensure that assistance is reaching those who need it most. The U.S. Embassy will continue to closely follow the situation and work with our partners to determine how we can best support recovery efforts in weeks to come.”
USAID partners are also realigning their activities to provide immediate support and looking at ways to assist in recovery. This includes relief assistance to the flood and landslide affected areas of Sagaing, Magway, Rakhine, Chin and other affected areas. USAID partners are distributing household items and hygiene supplies, and providing access to clean drinking water and sanitation.
While we work with local partners to assist with the relief efforts, we recognize the tremendous work being done by people across this country to help victims of the heavy rains and flooding. We continue to send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all affected communities.
